The structure is surrounded by Etna Park , very interesting from a biological point of view; it lies at the foot of Mt. St. Nicola near the former Benedictine Monastery of S. Nicolò La Rena ( currently housing the headquarters of Etna Park Authority ). |

The monastery ,first urban settlement giving origin to the town of Nicolosi , was the favorite residence of the queen Eleonora D'Aragona and afterwards the White Queen of Navarra, who could find here solace and peacefulness , surrounded by the phantasmagoria of the colors of Etna typical vegetation. |
